“Domestic violence became bigger than me…”

Goldei shared her experience with domestic violence as well as how Jingle Jam 10K was born out of the darkness she endured. Watch the video to hear her speech. This is why we run. This is our objective-- we race to end domestic violence.

This past October, for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the Augusta University Sexual and Relationship Violence Awareness group planned and hosted the SafeHomes Domestic Violence Center’s Survivors’ Walk. This annual ceremony featured a short candlelight walk to honor victims of abuse along a sidewalk decorated with the names of those we lost this past year to domestic violence.

The Survivors’ Walk also featured testimonies from survivors and family members of those affected by domestic violence. Among the speakers was Jingle Jam 10K’s race director, Goldei Limbaugh.
