FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Race to End Domestic Violence Celebrates 10 Years – Jingle Jam 10K

EVANS, GA., September 05, 2020 — Jingle Jam 10K, also known as JJ10K, benefitting SafeHomes Domestic Violence Center is celebrating ten years of racing to end domestic violence December 4—6, 2020. This year will be their first-ever virtual race and fundraiser. Voted Best Fundraiser Event in 2014 and 2016, they are expected to bring in more than 700 avid runners and walkers across the country. The 10K road race aims to benefit SafeHomes, who provided 17,996 services to 1,672 individuals affected by domestic abuse in 2019 alone.

Jingle Jam 10K 2020 is a fun-filled, Christmas-themed virtual road race that will be completed during race weekend, beginning Friday, December 4, 2020, at noon EST to ending Sunday, December 6, 2020, at noon EST. Registration opens on October 1, 2020. All proceeds from this 10K road race will benefit SafeHomes. In 2019, Jingle Jam 10K raised over $8,000, which all went to help victims and survivors of domestic abuse and increasing community awareness of domestic abuse. Jingle Jam 10K has donated over $70,000 to SafeHomes since the inaugural race in 2011.

Jingle Jam 10K features the following:
  • Runners can complete their 10K in Christmas-themed costumes and competing in our infamous costume contest.
  • Our JJ10K Facebook page will feature virtual entertainment from our community such as Santa & Mrs. Clause and Kenny Buddy the Elf will throughout the race weekend.
  • Runners have the option to fundraise to end domestic violence and have the opportunity to receive an award as the top individual fundraiser, team fundraiser, and corporate team fundraiser.
  • All runners will receive a Jingle Jam 10K 2020 Swag Bag that includes a JJ10K dry-fit shirt, a JJ10K 2021 calendar, two (2) jingle bells, and, for the first time, a special edition JJ10K 10th anniversary race medal that doubles as a Christmas ornament.
